My 2004 v6 Touareg is stuck in 3rd gear, there is no vw dealership in this part of the world. I took the car to a local mechanic he used a vagcom to reset the system and everything was fine for a while and then the same problem again. Would appreciate if any one can help.

Did you ever find the harness part number I have the same issue but don’t know witch one of the two to buy the 8pin or 14pin one

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I was about to buy both because I had no clue as to which of the two needed to be bought I’ll be ordering mine first thing on Monday to get it fixed please let me know if it fixed your problem and if you didn’t anything else

I found mine on eBay I have a 07 V6
Are you doing the job yourself ? Do you know if this is easy to fix I’m trying to figure out if it’s a simple plug in plug out job since I think this isn’t on the valve body if I’m correct VW in my area isn’t very helpful with my questions haha

got mine to the shop today as they dropped the cover plate near the oil pan on the passenger side they found the connector that comes front he engine harness has one of the wires snap right off we aren’t sure if its the main problem but soon as I get it back I’ll let you know
if I can add a photo I will
