has anybody tried rain x instead of windshield wiper fluid in their Treg.... does it work?
I use it and it works great. There are times when it rains that I don't even use the wipers. Just make sure after applying it that you use some muscle to buff the glass as you would when waxing your car. If you don't, you'll end up with a haze. At night when headlights shine at you it can be annoying if not buffed.has anybody tried rain x instead of windshield wiper fluid in their Treg.... does it work?
Here is a link to a comparison between the two products.Has anyone tried PPG's Aquapel?
Yup. That video truly supports what I wrote up aboveHere is a link to a comparison between the two products.
Rain-X versus PPG Aquapel: Grudge Match — Autoblog
"now i need to find".......That's the problem PPG Aquapel isn't sold everywhere as Rain-X. It's not that easy to find.i've been a fan of rain-x since day 1...now i need to find some ppg aquapel!
I use Aquapel, and it lasts about six months. I order mine online or Tire Rack sells it. Good stuff!I've always used Rain-x, but that video is enough to convince me to at least see if I can locate some Aquapel and try it. Cya
I once bought a set of Rain-X wipers for my New Beetle. I typically don't get the "one-size-fits-all" wipers but made the exception because I've used Rain-X on my Thing windshield for years.More reasons not to throw money at Rain-X or any other such product.

OP asked about putting rainx in his washer tank, so good on you for answering his question! but obviously, we've digressed into surface application vs. tank application. I hope after all the testimony above you see the benefits of a surface application, and a fresh set of blades every 12-24 months.More reasons not to throw money at Rain-X or any other such product.
