Is there a way to find out your RNS 510 firmware without a Vag Com cable?

My 09 TDI was bought in November but it was a demo car, so it probably has the same firmware from last summer on there. How do I check the firmware version? And what's the latest version in the US?

You need a VAG Com as far as I know to check the version.

I see... does anyone know the last time an update to the RNS 510 firmware was released?

Or, you can use your Vag Com to activate the Secret Menu on the RNS, and see your version information without the cable:

380 is the most current one at the moment and that did not really do anything other then improve response times a little. I did not notice that big of a difference after upgrading it on mine. There is another firmware update do out soon, but no one knows the exact date.
