Does your Fuel Flap lock when the car is locked

Hi guys,
Can you please tell me if your fuel flap locks when you lock the car doors. I just discovered that mine is able to be opened even when the car is locked which is a little surprising. I'm wondering if there is a problem. Can you please check for me. Cheers.

Mine certainly does, you can hear it activate.

Yep sure does. Freaked me out the first time I found out. Last winter I went to add some Techron F.I. cleaner in the tank when the vehicle was locked. I thought it might be frozen shut as we just had slushy/snowy weather. Took me a few minutes to figure it out.

Bugger. Sounds like mine might be stuffed then!! The flap shuts fine, and then pushed to open, it's just that when the car is locked, the flap doesn't lock to stop someone tampering with my fuel (potential I know).

definitely should lock.
just found out that my wifes 2015 treg, if locked while the fuel flaps open, doesn't lock the flap after its closed.

the little button at the rear looks like it rotates to lock.
