on my 08 VR6 Touareg the driver's side headlight and drivers side front and rear turn signal stopped functioning recently. The signal on the mirror was functioning. I checked and the bulbs were fine. The wires behind the headlight were bare but not shorting out so I put some electrical tape on them. I scanned the car with VAG and it showed ground fault at those lights.
I brought it to a vw specialist in Toronto (Peters VW) and he found a wire connector to the computer under the dash was not making contact. He charged me two hours labour and the vehicle is back working great. I am happy to have it functioning again.
