Newbie posting so please don't be harsh, for same reason getting database error when searching so hopefully not a dublicated thread. Decided to fit swivelling hitch on my T-reg, been unlucky for some months to find complete used kit so bought parts separately and then all the trouble started (expected to be plug and play with a bit of programming). :surprise:
Just after removing bumper find out that original bolts need to be replaced to longer ones, not a problem thought until contacted local VW dealer, for my big disappointment they are not selling required bolts separately, ok not a big deal, went to local hardware store and another and after countless random stores found out that no M14 bolts in stock in any local shop. Thanks to Pierre Omidyar for eBay. Few afters later back in a garage to sort electrical bits and after removing all side panels discovered another surprise, no prewired trailer hitch harness. After quick internet search cannot find any decent wiring diagrams so maybe you gays are able to help.
Parts numbers if required.

Trailer detection control unit - 7L0 907 383N
Switch button - 7L6 959 511
