Hi, my 2006 v6 has 36,000 miles. Tires are original and need to be replaced. I'm looking for good traction, I do NOT go off road. I like a quiet tire too. Looking for a tire made in U.S.A.

Anyone have any experience with tires they have put on their Toureg and wish to share or reccomend? Thanks!

Also, would you have an alignment done at only the dealer? or would you have it done by a tire store.

My Alignment is still pretty centered.

You shouldn't have issues with having a modern shop doing your alignment, we've used our local NTB with great results for years on our 2005 with air suspension. We replaced the craptastic Pirelli Scorpions at 20K miles with some great Grand Touring Michelins (from Costco!) for about $750 and have been super happy with their performance (but I admit I have no idea if they are Made in the US though)

FWIW, there's no way to tell the COO without looking at the actual tire. That being said, I ditched the OEM tires early on for a set of Michelin Latitudes. Excellent ride quality, noise levels, and decent traction. I've also driven/ridden in an Alenza equipped 'egg. Similar ride & handling, but a bit noisier, but less $$ that the Latitudes.
Oh, and + to Costco...
