Be careful. I ordered the all-weather mat for the cayenne and it didn't fit my tdi treg. The raised floor caused the mat to hit the back hatch and it wouldn't shut. I ended up just getting the reversible cayenne mat to put in the back.

Still looking for the "perfect" mat for the TDI, but have yet to find it.

The hatch will close with that mat for I have it in mine. It did not close at first, but now is molded to the point it is not an issue. You won't find a mat that will work exact since one has not been made for that cargo area yet. I would be willing to bet no one ever bothers to make one either given the number of TDI's out there compared to the cost to tool up for it. I don't think it would be cost effective for a company to invest in a TDI specific mat.

You're right about that...I talked to Weathertech and Weathertech is not going to re-evaluate the small changes in the trunk of the TDI Touareg vs what they have for it since 2004...They claim it fits fine.

Actually, I have the weathertech and have to agree with them. There's a slight overhang in the mat where the raised deck tapers down. But the mat has enough stability to maintain its shape.

Still waiting on mine to arrive. Never even gave it a second thought that the pee squirter hump would even be an issue. Anxious to see how/if mine fits . . .

What is it made of? It appears as though it would be a mat that stains easily. It does look like it fits decent, but I think I will stick with my Cayenne mat.

yeti, it's a thick rubber with a carpeted exterior. i've only had snowboards/boots in the back so other than dirty snow i really can't say. but, it doesn't leak through the bottom.
it may leak at those 4 pop-out pieces of plastic that you can run the tie downs through but i haven't come across that yet. like i said, though, nothing but ski gear in the back that would cause a problem anyway.

I purchased a Gorilla Mat 6 months ago and it fits great in my '09 TDI. I like it because things tend to stay put in the back especially with the "cargo blocks" that attach to the mat.

Anybody try the hard shell trunk tray on the V6 TDI?
there is a cut out on the right rear side for the light to come through but with the raised floor, the light will be partially blocked IMO...but wanted to see it actually installed to verify the fit there.
Thanks

mscot, how do those 4 'pop out' pieces stay in place?
do they have a clip from the front and the backside?

Thanks
