Biggest thing we are hearing is no more offroad capability which means no more 4 low or air suspension. Basically just another crossover SUV. Did you GM friend note whether the off road was being removed for the NA models?

I mentioned off road and he said was still a go, but it was talked about quickly. I will ask him on Monday when Im in about true off road or quasi offroad

Q7 also comes with a V12 diesel

Touareg will drop the V10 for the new V8 diesel, with more power and torque than the V10

This is all good info for you, but NA will probably never see any of these motors unless they change their minds on it. They quit selling the V10 here in 08. I think 09 is/was the last year for the V8. We are getting just V6's now, both gas and diesel.

If they're talking about canceling the Touareg in another 6-8 years, well, a lot can change in that timeframe.
