tire pressure question

i have an 08 V8 and i would like my tire pressures to b a little lower than factory but the alarm keeps going off. my fronts are set at 36.5 and rears are 44.5 or something like that. can i change those settings to a lower # so i dont get the alarm when i run lower pressures

Not unless you own a VAG Com cable and software and even then I am not sure you can change it much.

You should be able to run 25% under without alarm. Set your pressures when tires are cold and do a relearn as you leave the driveway.

Fronts are suppose to be 39psi and rears 46psi. I've lowered the rears to 43psi and did a relearn. Dealer tried to Vag the settings but new software settings from VW would not allow him to lower the settings. Kind of annoying as 46psi is too high for the rears unless you are towing all the time. I put 41psi in the fronts as T-regs like to wear out the outsides of the tires.
