get the belkin micro usb charger. it's a tiny usb plug that sits almost flush against the cigarette lighter opening. if you plug it in the "secret compartment" you can open and close it no problem. perfect little addition if you ever need to charge anything via usb, i.e. iphone or psp.

i bought Belkin F8Z446 (unfortunately). it has the green light. i'd love to get the blue one. any ideas where to purchase?

Found the same thing but a different brand, and it has a round, blue light. It is sold under the Rocketfish Mobile brand and does not come with the iPod cable like the belkin model does. $14.99 at the local Bestbuy store. It fits easily in the lighter port in the slide open tray, and you can close the tray with it plugged in.

This one is a much nicer fit than the Belkin. Unlike the Belkin, the rocketfish fits absolutely flush against the lighter port.

I found something like it but in the form of a flashlight. No not the expensive VW kind but one for less than $4.00 at walmart. Works great too
