Waiting

Hi just wondered if anyone else was waiting on their new Treg? Mine was ready for transport 2 weeks ago but got put on hold. I was told all Tregs were on hold (until 21/Aug) because of some changes required on the exhuast system to make them compliant with emmisions???

the long wait ever so agonizing...

if it's not leaving for another 3 weeks you are still probably 8 weeks away from delivery! don't ever trust what the dealer tells you.

If you are interested and you have your vehicle already also try it and it will tell you it's shipping history...some ammunition against dealer delivery timings. In my case 43 days after arriving before my delivery

If you don't have your VIN and your vehicle is ordered this is available from your dealer, don't take their rubbish on it not being available... yeah I know it is like ..but they know it, so keep on to them.

Hi hazey,

We pick up our new treg on August 20 after a 20 week wait that as Moonan has suggested has been extremley frustrating particularly as the dealer has been less than helpful. Ours left on the ship Manon early July. Has your dealer told you how long you have to wait?

Jon90 I took one that was already in Sydney rather than order one (only roof rails the difference), Dealer said it would be 2 weeks. 10 days after order the system said it was all preped ready for transport the following day. Than 2 days later I get story about exhaust system. Just wondered if anyone else had heard this story.

I think the one you wanted has been alocated to somebody else, or another dealer put their name on it first and will not release it. Have they given you the VIN? That will see if they are honest. Call VW Australia and see what they say.

When I was looking to replace my R5, I had an "available" V6TDI - even had an external spare wheel - pulled out from under me in late May... I had the VIN (same VIN from two different dealers, vastly different prices) and a very good price, but the stock control could not get it from the "interstate dealer" to whom it was allocated, and after about 10 days of no information, they abandoned all pretence and could not supply.
That's when I went and bought my Audi Q5 -
