Passenger airbag indicator light dim

Hi all, My light is dim and sets off a 01578 K145 indicator fault. I read somewhere on here that I have to replace a part that drives this light just below the radio? Is this driver separate from the light or are they housed in the same assembly or is it just the indicator I have to replace? Also when removing this indicator, do I need to remove the radio or does the indicator just pop off?

i may have to do something similar. Mine is flickering. I'm hoping a bulb replacement is all i need.

Have you looked into how to access the bulb?

Not sure if it's just a bulb change. I think people have replaced the whole assembly 7L6919235. Around $35 online. I think I read people having to remove the radio which requires special tools. I'm thinking of just trying to pry the top of it off by getting under it with the hazard button held down. Then breaking the tabs, disconnecting the connector and just popping the new part in. I figure why not just break the old one, but am worried I will break something else as well.

Its easy to replace. You're going to have to remove the radio, then you'll have to remove 4 torx screws around the aluminum bezzle that secures the radio and holds the buttons (Seat heater/ parking/ hazard/ airbag light/ seat heater). Each of the buttons are secured by click in tabs pushed in from the front and the electrical connector clicks in from the back.

Any set will do this was just a quick google. Once you pop the keys in, the radio literally pulls out with a minor pull.
