Its monsoon season here in Arizona and whenever it rains it floods. I was on my way home and was on my street which had 6-10 inches of flowing water. There were about 5 cars stuck so myself and another gentleman in a toyota pickup helped tow the people out. Oddly enough the first car i towed out was a fellow VW bug. The Treg performed flawlessly through the tow and through the water. I have only had the car for 3 weeks now so i guess i popped my cherry! Thankfully i got the trailer hitch.

Nice. I wanted a V10-but they don't pass smog in CA and so are not sold here. So I settled for the V8. One day I'll get a loaded V6 3.0 diesel perhaps but the V8 will do for quite some time.

I hear biodiesel mixtures have a limit in the VW diesels as currently configured of 5%--any more and it hurts the engine's longevity and performance. Even so that isn't really the issue: I could not buy one in state legally (meaning able to be registered with the Cal DMV). So what I would have had to do is find a used one with over 7500 miles on it outside the state (most close would be Oregon or Nevada) then I could get a waiver and "grandfather" it in as a used vehicle. Since VW only sells 4,000 or so Touaregs a year the chances of finding a used one fitting my needs in just 2 states is extraordinarily low compared to most used vehicles. It sucks but there it is. I'll have to wait for the V6 3L to ship here in numbers. Or move out of the state which actually might happen soon enough.

Needless to say, that didn't pass the hassle test.

I've been running B20 and will continue to until i move back to NYC in may. Also considering that i have a 3yr lease its not so much an issue for me. Hope you get your V6TDI!

I'll give ya a ride in my V10 anyday:wave:
Hehe
You can buy a 2004 or a 2006 no matter what in Cali, and you can bring in and register a 2007 or 2008 with 7500 or more miles on it.
