Top set are for a T1 with the oval hold downs. T2 has the round ones like in your second set of pics.

As I mention earlier, I purchased these mats for the "2010 Touareg TDI", and the fit my T2 perfect.

If the only difference between the T2 and the T1 is the oval hold downs as oppose to the round ones, then it should not be a problem, but that's a decision you would have to make.

It really is not hard, I did this with my Cayenne mats when I moved them from my T1 to my T2. Parts are easily bought online or your dealer.
