I've got a 2004 Touareg V6 Black on Black that 100% stock. I'd like to get a new set of wheels and tires for the summer and I'm thinking of a set of take-offs from a Cayenne. Not sure what style or size. What do you guys think looks best and recommend?

Here are some examples:

18"

20"

Mine are 22's and these are my old tires I upgraded them to 285/35/22 which has been better to drive with.

My buddy has the Cayenne wheels on and they look good.

If yo are going to go for the Cayenne 20" Techno wheels be careful how you fit them- all 4 tyres are the same size but according to the Porsche Cayenne price list I was studying recently the front pair are on 9J rims and the rears are on 10J rims (goodness knows why..).

stick with smaller rims dude, my gas mileage dropped three mpg with my 22's and the tires are 450 dollars a peice and they wear out twice as fast, look at it in the long run.

Lino you can do the 20 inch wheels and run 275/45 VR20 since this is a more common sized tire and the tire prices are way more reasonable.

Yokohama Parada Spec X are 142 @ tirerack
Yokohama Proxes 140 @ treaddepot
Continental UHP Cross Contact 180@ tirerack and 130@ treaddepot if they have any left.

the tires listed above all have treadwear above 400.

Your mileage may reduce an MPG or two if you see alot of stop and go traffic but if you are doing moderate speed cruising you will be fine just keep the warm PSI above 40 and you should get reduced rolling resistance.

i drive about 900 miles a week and around 700 are on the high way from central texas to east texas, ie no stopping, and my mileage went from 18 to 15, i keep my tires at a cold 45 psi
