I'm a little new around here but not to the VAG product, been lurking for some time but not really any posts. I bought my Treg several months ago and have been slowly researching on little mods etc.
I bought the truck knowing it needed tires and have been searching for the right tire for way too long. I tend to be indecisive before purchases like this as I want to make sure its the right fit the first time.
Having previously driving an Xterra with Duratracs, they were my first go to. I searched the forum to catch a glimpse of how tall they would be on the truck but didn't find a whole lot in my sizing. I didn't want to go too big because the wifey was tired of driving an 'offroad' vehicle but did want to upgrade the size. That kind of took the Duratrac idea away as they are pretty aggressive for what we now need.
So I went with 265/60/18 Toyo Open Country AT II 's. They aren't too aggressive, have good ratings and the price was decent. Its only been a short time but they feel good, still drives well and aren't noisey. Heres some pics so hopefully any future members can see what they look like if interested in upgrading. First pic is stock 255/55/18, next are 265/60/18's
