Yokohama Geolander

I believe we have the same car. I put Yokohama Geolander on, sacrificing a bit of the speed rating but an excellent tire that blows the Conti's away in overall functionality. I can post a picture if you like. They cost about $175 per tire installed and disposal.

Can somebody explain the XL rating and why it is necessary? I'm tired of getting 22k miles out of these tires....

Honestly I don't really notice much of a difference in noise if any between these and my contis.

XL refers to extra load. These are designated for SUV and trucks that may be hauling more weight around.
