Transmission Manual R5 2005

Lately I am experiencing a whirring noise when the clutch is released at the motion position, meaning when the car gets to move. This noise is getting harder but stops when the clutch is fully pressed and/or fully released.
Any advice?

Already everything is opened now, transmission and the while clutch kit, to together with the flywheel. That bearing was inside the manual transmission so it had to be dismantled. They say I need to change the whole clutch kit, and the flywheel too as all of the existing ones are pretty used so I need to replace the whole kit. Transmission is just fine but the clutch needs to be completely replaced. Does this sound reasonable?

if you already dropped the transmission then do the whole clutch kit with release bearing, spigot bush, crank seal etc.

Do it all now while the transmission is out.

All vw/audi engines must use 507.00 spec oil except non-DPF R5/V10 engines that must use 505.01/506.01

As above, unless there is a very good reason not to, you should always fit a complete new clutch whilst the engine and gearbox are separated

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

Ok...doing the whole thing. It's 1000 Euro or 1200 USD and a new clutch kit will be installed. Transmission is dropped, oil will be changed, and the differential oil too. 2 litres each, meaning 4 litres altogether for the transmission and the differential. Clutch kit + flywheel is from LUK Germany. Hope everything will go fine!

Ok, the whole thing is back into its place and the Touareg is on the roads again. Transmission is fine but clutch starts too early to put the car into movement. Anyways the problem now is with the first and reverse gear...sometimes it seems impossible to engage them. Even the second gear feels like it has two positions. What is this now?

Gear one, reverse and sometimes the second gear have problems while being engaged. If I want to put the first gear after having pressed the clutch, it is very hard to get it to its position. While on the move all the gears are fine, the car reacts very well. I have these issues only in the city traffic or when I need to park...

If the clutch is engaging too near to the floor that probably means that when you try to change gears maybe you don't press the pedal down enough.
It disengages much lower than you're used to.

There would be an adjustment for that, somebody else will have to help you with that; I've never seen an R5 manual.
