I plan to do this along with the egr delete and intake cleaning all at the same time next year.

- Autohold retrofit
- yrktreg tcm retune
- Malone stg 2 tune
- 3" turboback exhaust
- 265/65/18 duratracs on Cayenne wheels

Don't you trade off low end grunt for high end flow doing this? Are you just after more top end power?

I don't want to lose any low end grunt, that's why I'm looking for real world experience here. I am concerned over the swirl flaps failing with carbon build-up though.

I'm also wondering about the EGR delete as I live in cold winter climes and need a quick warm up. Temperature ranges here from-40C to +36C.

I was under the impression that your fancy heater can be coded to also warm up the engine coolant, not just the cabin.......

The fancy heater does in fact heat the coolant as soon as the engine is started. But still not sure about having no EGR.

IIRC, said fancy heater will continue to run even with the engine operating until a certain coolant temp is reached..... obviously no EGR will potentially mean your operating temp "consistency" will suffer in those extreme conditions...... I'm not even sure that "beating" on it will be sufficient to keep things from cooling down...... you may need to revert to blocking off airflow to the front end.

I'd reach out to Malone.... I'm sure he's dealt with lots of us folks that drive around igloos and polar bears.... he may have much better answers than our assumptions.....

I'm OEM AF so I can't provide any first hand experience.

I saw no difference with my malone tune and having the EGR off and it taking longer to warmup without it. We had several frigid subzero days in PA and it did just fine.

I find that incredibly hard to believe.... I wonder if Malone compensates for this in the mapping until operating temp is reached.
