Guys, I took the Treg. To the dealer and according to the mechanic there the temp. sendor before the passenger side turbo needs to be replaced. Can this be done without dropping the motor?

Why would you post that question into this thread, which is about DPF ash limits?

Best for you - and others with the same issue who may search later - that you start your own new thread with a relevant title.

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

I was just asking to get some opinion, I did not want to start a thread on such a trivial matter.

OK so I finally had to take my Treg to the guys in OH. Yes my new found "best friends" . It looks like i was experiencing a "cause and effect" situation. The guys tested every conceivable sensor and all were working perfectly. The next option was to clean the the DPF even though it was only showing 80gm. The fault, so far, after 3 days of testing has not re-appeared. The mechanic thinks that since the Stage 2 Colt Cams put out more volume of exhaust, the DPF was not able to handle it with the soot in place so after cleaning it is the exhaust gases can flow freely. I hope this is the solution, as I would not like to drive all the way back to OH again.
