V10 O2 sensors

After reading Drag`s comment (V10 camshafts)
about zink content in oil i changed to the penrite racing 10,10w-40 from the recommended enviro+C-2 0w-30 straight away smother idle smother cruse and 10D cel lower oil temp, very happy. I know this oil can damage the cats and O2 sensors but the Malone tune can delete the sensors can any one tell me the down side of not running the O2 sensors in a diesel.

Glad your happy with it Vaughan
You have stepped away from the invisible protection of the OEM god blessed oil for a V10 but you will be alright.
Do an oil sample like I recommended.
My disclaimer is that all other engines bar the V10 and R5 and PD 4cys (all flat tappet) should use the OEM spec oil 507.00 etc.

regards
Drag
