V10 Alternator pulley (engine side)

Hi,

I’m having hard time finding any part numbers or anything related from google or here considering my problem.

The fact that my alternator is shot is real and i started asking for parts from local dealers and we end up with what i assume is t2 or anywhere younger than my treg alternator, these new parts has the toothed alternator drive pulley and my car has this 3 toed lump instead.

Is the engine side pulley replaceable with the same freewheel as the new alternator has or is it different part?

Is ther possibility that the ’newer’ alternator is not even compatible with my engine and i have to look for the old alternator somewhere?

They stopped making the original alternator (which is often called a generator on the V10 by the way) so when you buy a new replacement you have to also buy an adaptor kit to get it to fit.

There are threads on this on here.

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

hmm, i think site search doesn’t work for me since i can’t search anything, whatever keyword i use it gives me message ’nothing related to your keywords’
Even if i simply use ’touareg’ as keyword...
I also couldn’t find any info from google, or i just can’t type well enough for google to understand me 😄

Yours must be an early midel . your setup can be directly replaced by the current over run pulley and tooth coupling setup

I managed to order one from local dealer, i noticed that the part number in the toothed engine half coupling is for R5 2.5 tdi, they said it would fit nonetheless and they ordered it because the one with v10 partnumber would take so long to arrive to this remote backwoods town.
Can anyone confirm whether i can use this part or not?
This is the partnumber 070903115F

The R5 has the exact same drive coupling as the V10.
