Can the transmission be remaped in a 2004 v10? JRtuning has it listed on there web page.

What are you trying to achieve?

Have you a gearbox reset yourself - only takes 10 seconds?

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

If noobytoogy had unlimited $$, he'd travel around doing gearbox resets for all the Toaureg owners in the world.

But it IS worth a try!

Yeah I have done the reset, but was chasing a more sporty fermer up shift like when you fit a shift kit.

I changed my transmission code from 0004456 to 0012392 when I (retro) fitted the paddles, that however is on a V6/T2, I believe the same transmission in used in both the V10 and V6's however there may be need for a difference in coding between the T1 and T2 due to different CAN BUS versions used in the two series.

I don't recommend you change your coding because of this uncertainty but someone else may chime in with a more definitive answer.

Plus..............., he would also inspect that your tyres are not outside max wear tolerance between axles and of course, between each tyre on individual axle

I would have thought that is what the diffs are for otherwise you would have problems going around corners

I think that the trans tune is meant to compliment an ecu tune.

I know the V10 with twin 2260's was slipping the trans pretty bad
