Some road data from 2009 V6 Tdi

Here’s some data climbing from 3200 foot level to 4000 foot level in the area where I live. Tail end of graph is levelling out at 3850ft at 75 mph flat ground.
Bone stock engine, except for my egr mode. Part of the reason that the Touareg TDI‘s don’t get the best fuel economy is they don’t run enough timing throughout the whole fuel curve (this is to reduce emissions) and they run too much turbo boost, which is restricting engine flow.

Which could be fixed with a good remap!

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

Correct. I’d be curious to see some data on a programmed V6 TDI if anyone has. I used to run a dyno & have hundreds of runs with different vehicles & a bunch of Cummins & ALH tuning under my belt but the Touareg is new to me.
I find the secrete to good fuel economy is max 5psi at 65mph & 3-5 degs more timing depending on weight/load of vehicle. Would love to have something like EFI Live for the Touareg or at least the ability to manage engine more with VAG-Com.
