Pre-oiler accumulator tank

Wondering if anyone has installed a pre-oiler system. The system is basically an accumulator tank that fills up with pressurized oil when the engine is running; I assume oil flows through a flow restrictor so it fills the tank slowly without starving the engine for oil. When the engine is shut off, pressurized oil is trapped in the tank by a check valve. When the ignition is turned on, a solenoid opens and the pressurized oil in the accumulator is fed into the oil galleys. So basically you have peak oil pressure just before you crank the engine over.

Has any one used this type of system before? Occasionally my Tdi sounds a bit starved for oil on startup (1-2 sec rattle). Seems like this type of pre-oiler system would have all the tensioners, lifters and bearings pumped full of oil, and greatly reduce wear. Looks like the tank just gets teed in with the oil pressure switch, and a solenoid gets connected to ignition with a timing relay.

We have an accumulator on our RV water system, and it works great. We get about 5 seconds of water pressure from the accumulator, which reduces the on/off cycling of the pump.

This does seem like an answer to a question no one was asking. I understand the startup ware, ect. But what was the last time any one replaced bearings on a modern engine.
The time noise is a interesting hit though. Would oil pressure to the tensioner solve this? is it due to slack in the chain tensioner not having pressure or just chain slap from start up? I thought there was a mechanical mechanism to the tensioner, it it faulty? It would be interesting to find out...
