OK so I've compiled together a list of all the possible TCM's that I have found:
If anyone has one that is different please post it here along with the year.

I am also going to list the ones that I can currently flash, and the ones that I need donors for.

Thanks everyone!

0C8927750G Can flash now!

0C8927750AK I need a non fix donor for this one!

0C8927750CF Can flash now!

0C8927755 Can flash now!

0C8927755R I need a non fix donor for this one!

Again please let me know if any of you have a different TCM part number!

What does your "flash" actually do?

I have both a fixed AK and a non-fixed Eurospec AK, but they have different software versions. I don't know what the firmware differences between part numbers are, but It seems like the 4-digit software revision makes all the difference to shifting behavior. My original TCM went from "Component: AL1000 AISIN 001 2269" to "... 3398" after the fix. So you may be able to apply a tune from another P/N as long as the software revision is similar. Might be worth exploring!

You can pull it from under the passenger seat - Under the carpet, left towards the transmission.
It's held in place with two tabs - one on each side that need to be pulled away from the module. No need to disconnect it. With the seat all the way up and forward, there is enough room to turn it around and read the number which is on a label on the module itself.

Hope this helps..

Finally had some time to get at the TCU in my 2105 Cayenne. Had to remove the seat. Thanks for the tips on the tabs, lifesaver for sure.

So I imagine I would need to send this to you. You scan it. I get the diesel fix done. Send it back to you to Re fix.

2013 Canadian here as well. Looking to do the fix, then get an HPA/Malone tune done subsequently after. Do you mind sharing your contact details with me so I can set up the logistics of getting the TCM to you perhaps in mid-May? I would be shipping and receiving from an address in WA state. Cheers

2015 tdi Toureg fixed.. Want this fix. How do i get it?.. Tried to get at my tcm, not sure about the tabs. May have to remove seat.. BTW. Can i just buy a TCM you can flash from VW and send it to you to flash? Or does it have to be the exact one currently in car? sent you pm.

Post fix shift pattern is garbage. I manually shift car when cold. Can i say the post fix tuning ruined my Treg tdi...

Quick update for everyone, the 13-14 TCM's seem to have a different security protocol or something.

I can't seem to get a good read from one (tried 2 different ones).

I have been in communication with tech support from the tool manufacturers tech support team and they are looking into it.

Hopefully just a glitch that a software fix will resolve.

Stay tuned!

I have a "new", as in newly released for sale, 2016. It has what I believe is the usual for 2016:

Address 02: Auto Trans (J217) Labels:. 0C8-927-755.clb
Part No SW: 0C8 927 755 R HW: 0C8 927 755
Component: AL1000 AISIN 130 3374
Coding: 010200000C008400000000000000000000000000
Warm weather and learning have improved shift performance, but not enough to make me happy. So, I too would be interested in an "un-fix", and will keep my eye on this thread for 755 R developments.

Thanks,

Alec

Hi Mike,
I think that this may throw a flag for VW as the euro TCM's show up differently under a scan.

I think that I am going to have to get some used units and preflash them.

People could have two choices:
Send in your module and have it flashed
Get a preflashed module and send yours back into the pool for the next person
^^This option would of course have a refundable deposit that upon return would be
refunded

My plan still is to buy a euro version and just have 2 TCUs I think. Have a fixed one on hand in case I ever have to return to dealer. If anybody ever offers a performance tune might just tune over the euro one.

Still not sure what to do for my Dad and Brother who have Q5 and A7s with the tcu in the trans.

That works.
My thought for the future is a couple of things:
1)Have the units that I flash appear the same to the dealership.
That way there is no muss and fuss for warranty work etc.
2) Work on the Audi/ later model Touaregs with the ZF trans
Since these are internal they have to be flashed via OBD
I'm thinking that I could do a roving flash day if I can get enough interested people in one location to do so
3) Work on tooning all of these TCM files. I've done DSG's and i'd imgaine that this isn't too far off from those

Hi Scott,
Right now I am bench flashing everything. Kind of taking baby steps.
OBD will be coming soon...
I don't have the fix yet, so I am going by what everyone is saying on the post fix tregs and the trans being completely different in operation.

The ECU can also be reverted but i'm not too sure that it would make any difference in terms of drivability.

Hope this helps...
