Engine Cranks But Won't Start

Hi guys, have a 2008 V6 TDI, 200 000 kms. Car runs beautifully but recently has faulted on 3 occasions, about 3 weeks apart.
After reasonable length trip (15 Km), pulled up and turned engine off. 20 minutes later, turned ignition on, paused, turn start position. Engine cranks about 3 secs but no start. Repeat 6 - 10 times, all no start. No unusual light. Switch off, wait 5 minutes, try again . Engine starts and runs fine, each time same.
Is not battery, replaced it on advice of dealer.
Any point presenting to dealer? If intermittent, what can they do?
Any ideas welcome.

You need to do a VCDS scan.

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

Thanks for quick reply. Is that something only a dealer can do? If I can do it, what do I need?

No response

Well I hate to say it but I am just about over the posters that you give the answer to their question and get no follow up.
Sent a message with the answer to his fault and silence no reply at all.
I might as well just let people figure out their own fixes to issues they ask assistance for.

I understand that you have to have 15 post to send a PM.
But 15 to receive one doesn't make any sense??
