2013+ Touareg pre/post fix transmission programming

Part of the fix entails flashing the TCM. That seems to be allowing the torque converter to slip more and thus effectively reduce the torque we feel when driving it. We need to find someone that can retune our TCM after the fix. The. We can get a tune for the ECU and we would get back the lost performance and then some.

i have been in contact with a tuner and he needs a bit of a database in order to build us a transmission tune.
To do that, we need to get a database of what everyone has for the VAG Number and the Component. This can be retrieved from VCDS in the auto trans controller.

Please list if yours is post fix or not and vehicle info.

Here is my info:
2015 Touareg TDI
My VAG Number is 0C8 927 755
Component: AL1000 AISIN 100 2817
NO FIX.
Mine is a 2013 Touareg TDI
Pre-fix programming:

PSA:

Make sure you do a transmission reset after the fix or after you run your tune.
Procedure:
turn the ignition on (don't hold the brake pedal so the engine doesn't start)
press the gas pedal to the floor and slowly count to 10
turn off ignition and remove key
start the car as normal

This resets the "learning" of the transmission.
Made a big difference for me as my wife is the primary driver.

Tranny Fix

MK, How did you capture and store the pre-fix trans codes?

MK, seems like your component and data set changed by on digit each?

In my case, I was apprehensive toward the fix so I ran a full scan of my car with VCDS (VAG-COM) before going in for the fix and re-scanned again post-fix. I was hoping to at least be able to restore engine braking.

That said, if you have a prior scan of your car anytime in its life prior to the fix, the coding for transmission is in that scan and you can retrieve it from there.

It looks like the last 4 digits of component are different and the last digit in data set looks like it incremented by one. I am not sure what it amounts to. I know in the past people were changing the component coding, all 4 digits, to a different number to ie. get the Euro tranny performance. I haven't tried to enter old coding into component, I don't know if the old file is still in there and you can regain it by entering old coding or whether it's wiped.

Euro transmission setting is very nice. Excellent engine braking and downshifting. I can come almost to a complete stop without touching the brakes in S.
