2009 Fix

So I've booked my Treg in for the fix, yes I'm keeping it.

Does anyone know what is actually done for the 1st gen TDI's? I'm wondering what parts get swapped out. I'm hoping they change the DPF.

All info is available on the settlement site.... I would've suspected that VW already supplied you with paper copies of it too.... they did for my Jetta

I've been looking at the US documentation, as it's a US based Treg. The Canadian documentation has more info, the swapping of the two pressure sensors.

Not sure how much homework you've done, but a quick look shows this (pg 9)

7. What if I purchased or leased my vehicle in the U.S. or abroad, but live in
Canada?
To be an Eligible Vehicle, your vehicle must have been originally (a) sold in Canada, or
(b) leased in Canada from VW Credit Canada, Inc. (also known as Volkswagen Finance
and Audi Finance) or Porsche Financial Services Canada, Inc. If your vehicle was
originally sold in the U.S., it is not an Eligible Vehicle under the 3.0L Settlement in Canada.
You can enter your Vehicle Identification Number, also known as a VIN (see Question
61), in the Vehicle Look-Up section of this website to determine if your vehicle is included
in the 3.0L Settlement (see Question 6).
Please note that, in order to be an Eligible Vehicle, your vehicle must also have been
registered in Canada at any point between November 2, 2015 and January 17, 2018, or
registered in the U.S. during the entire period from November 2, 2015 through
January 17, 2018. Owners and lessees of 3.0L Volkswagen, Audi or Porsche vehicles
originally sold or leased in the U.S. may be eligible to claim under the U.S. settlement.
Visit www.vwcourtsettlement.com for more information on the U.S. settlement.
Have you actually checked your VIN and started the application, or are you just showing up at a dealer to see what happens with the hopes that it will "go through"?

My claim has all been approved from the US side, so that's fine. I just couldn't find specific details about the hardware fixes.

She's goes under the knife Monday. She's been at the dealer since Tuesday as they hadn't got VW Canada's approval. That came in Friday. Untill then they hooked me up with a rental. 2019 Ford Explorer, nice vehicle, but not the Treg.
