09 TDi DPF Soot level spikes on a cold start.
I've been running with VCDS for the past few weeks as I try to see under what conditions my soot levels spike and I go into limp mode. Here's an example. A regen happened yesterday, and the two soot levels were fine, both less than 8. This morning, I plug in, start the engine, and watch the acumulated spike to over 30, and then the dash lit up. I then drive off, and watch the the number acc. amount drop a bit, then both spiked and another regen.
So, on a cold start, what would cause the soot level to spike? I had the DPF pressure sensor replaced, but when I get codes I get a code for that, though I know it will through a false positive.
Could EGR or swirl flaps be the issue here?
