Secondary Cat Bypass Pipes - Any MPG Gains?
Searching didn't quite yield what I was looking for, I saw this slightly mentioned in a few other threads but didn't want to derail or necro-bumping them.
From those with early V8s (non-FSI motors) who have bypassed the secondary cats, have you noticed any MPG gains? What about increased cabin noise with or without the resonated version?
If you saw fuel mileage gains, what were they?
Any videos of the bypass pipes installed WITHOUT aftermarket exhaust? Just looking to put a little more pep in the wife's treg, and maybe up the mileage a smidgen too if possible. However, she likes her cars quiet inside (now if it was my primary driver it would already have electric cutouts on it
I know that likely any MPG gain would never amount to the cost of installing the pipes, but its likely more a physiological thing haha.
