O2 Sensor Info

Hello, we bought a 2009 VR6 Touareg about six months ago, and this webstie has helped us a lot! I got a check engine light and the code said O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1. I know that it's the first O2 sensor on the passenger side before the cats.

I'm having trouble finding the right part number for the correct O2 sensor. I've done multiple searches on the forum, but can't find it.

Can anyone help with the part number? I'm looking for OEM, as I have heard the aftermarket ones cause issues sometimes. Any leads on a website that has them for a good price would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Best/easiest is to phone the nearest dealer parts dept (you did say you wanted OEM parts). Ask them for price and availability of the sensor. If you have the VIN handy to tell them you will be sure it is the correct part.

I was under the impression that it's best to get original bosch part...

Or should I just get whatever is cheaper at auto zone?

What is the price difference between OEM and aftermarket sensors? How hard is it to get to the sensors to replace them? Will the aftermarket source you select replace a defective part if that happens?
In other words, how much difference does it make?

Don't know the difference, just from searching on this forum, it seemed like I should go with OEM. If not, I'll just get one from Pep Boys or Autozone.

Try 1stvw.com I have had good experience with them. They can help you get the right part. In your situation this time, I would only go OEM.

Measure twice cut once.
