Check oil icon in MFD

As the title states oil icon shows up in MFD about every 60 miles and is cleared when hood is opened. This has been happening thru the last oil cycle (7000miles) and continues. At last oil change I installed a new oil level sensor and thought that would solve the problem. 60 miles and again it pops up. So the weekend before last I did the much needed carbon cleaning of ports and tops of valves. While I had it open I replaced all gaskets and seals and installed a oil pressure sensor and thought again that the problem would be solved. Again 60miles and it's back. Can Anybody send me in a new direction to fix this?

Seems very odd at I presume by your post nearly on the dot 60 miles intervals.
Maybe try a little overfill not much but a little and see if that makes any difference? (250mls extra maybe)

Thanks for the reply Dragline, not exactly 60 mile intervals but really close. I'll try the 250 mls overfill and if no one has any other ideas maybe I try another oil level sensor at next oil change, thanks again

Just to verify, you are talking about the yellow oil icon, not the red oil icon, right?

Had something similar happen once where the red oil pressure low message popped up right at start up on our 08' V8. Turned off and restarted and it never came back (and that was years and many oil changes ago). This seems like an electrical gremlin that might be difficult to trace.

Wonder if this shows up in vagcom during the moment or even log history (if there is such a thing...as I have never used vagcom) or if it is a phantom error. Why I say this is the strange reset is opening the hood that is just plain screwy...more so than the still strange distance of 60 miles.

@nickyt Where did you find that booklet snapshot? Is that from a PDF?

Ah...Been looking for the PDF version with all the icons to save as reference. Lost my manual somewhere in Missing Socks Land.
