2004 V8 fuel pump

Hi everybody, looks like I have a bad fuel pump. When I start the car it will just run for 30 seconds.
Do I need to change both feel pumps?
Can I just get a new fuel filter or I need and a whole housing. And is there any good aftermarket pumps, at the dealership is 400$.!?

You can start by checking the big fuel pump thread to see how your symptoms match up:

I'd personally stick with a VDO pump(s), but cheaper alternatives are available (scroll down to fuel pumps):

Good luck.
