There's a huge difference between the output results of a remap on a turbo diesel [up to 20% extra BHP] and a normally aspirated petrol engine [5% extra if you're lucky] - remapping the former is worth doing but remapping the latter is not.

The Fuel Injected VW V8 Eurocharged Performance Tune is good for 24hps and 18ft-lbs.

The Q7 software you are talking about is for a Direct Injected (FSI) Audi/VW V8s.
Q7 4.2 Performance Engine Software

The FSI V8 Eurocharged Performance Software is good for 38hps and 40ft-lbs and it you add a Milltek Sport Cat-Back you can easliy add another 10% on top of the 388hps and 360ft-lbs.

Modest total output of 426hps & 396ft-lbs... I have sold a few of these packages and they come with smiles, guaranty.

why would that be when the tregs and Q's share the same everything, powertrain, canbus systems..a flash for an 08 Q7 should bring the same results on a 08 Touareg..in theory

The earlier 2002 thru 2005 Touareg V8 with fuel injection:

Eurocharged Performance Tune is good for 24hps and 18ft-lbs.

The 2006 and newer Touareg V8s with direct injection or FSI:

Eurocharged Performance Software is good for 38hps and 40ft-lbs

If that cleared it up...
