Precisely.
Besides agressively changing lanes just because you want to do it in the time of three comfort blinks is a surefire way of getting pulled over by the care bears.

13 - Auto Distance Regulator
16 - Security Access (Code is 91153)
10 - Adaption
Select "Driving off without driver trigger after short stop"

This gets the car starting again from a tap of a stalk or if within the 3 second short stop, it will restart and move. This has been my best mod for NY traffic I was sick of tapping the petal in stop-go traffic. Also, if you tap the stalk after stop and there's still a car in front of you, this will extend the time that the car will be willing to self start again I believe by 12 seconds each tap of the stalk.
Realised this was already enabled on my Touareg since new.
What i was looking for is how to enable or extend the 3sec parameter so i dont have to hit the pedal or stalk to get the car moving again after a stop of more than 3secs

V8 TDI R line MY15, White, Panoramic roof, VW towbar. Dynamic Road Sign Recognition, Lane Assist, Traffic Reports, Google Earth enabled. All Led.

V10 TDI, MYO6 on Conti CrossContact 255/60/18s with RNS510, Paddle Shifters, Rear Diff lock, Mounted Spare, Bluetooth, 4 Zone CC, Keyless, AFS Xenons, TPMS, Easy Entry/Exit, Twin Batteries, Air Suspension, Sunroof, Icom IC440 UHF radio...

Had, Sold & Missed...V6 petrol on Pirelli AT's with Sat Nav, Rear Diff lock, Bluetooth & Phatbox.

Can you please post a picture with your windshield, the center upper side of it.

Why not disable it alltogether? Aside from trying to save some gas here and there.
I think this feature is more of a safety issue than the gas savings it provides.
I'm glad my '11 gasser doesn't have it, if it did I would definitely disable it..

Thanks but to clarify that i am not trying to disable start stop. The v8tdi doesnt even have this fuel saving feature.
I am trying to disable the requirement to hit the acc stalk or the pedal to get the car moving again after an acc stop of more than 3secs, within 3secs it moves ahead and follows the car ahead, but after 3secs driver must resume by tugging the stalk or pressing the pedal

Well, I recall reading on Ross-Tech forums that no one has sorted this out yet, so if it's such a massive safety factor\inconvenience for you snowflakes, I suggest switching to a different vehicle
