Whistler Blackcomb opens for skiing on November 28: two side-by-side mountains which combined offer over 200 marked runs, 8,171 acres of terrain, 16 alpine bowls and three glaciers. Good road trip from Cleveland in a Touareg

That is a 3-4 day drive-- and I've never been skiing or snow-boarding in my life. But thanks for the suggestion. I've already been hooked by the wife/kid into driving them to Disney in March, that is enough road trips on my radar for now. I'm sure out 2012 TDI will do great tho...

The OEM VW camera with interface are more than US$1000!!
We have the aftermarket product which can replace it:

i'm just a little north of you, we drove to Disney 3 years ago, the touareg handled it like a champ.

I'm thinking to install the rear camara in my 2012 treg.

For whom that have installed it, what dificult is routing the cables from the tail gate to the J772 module and to the RNS850 control ?

What about the coding?

Has anybody install the Carnavi kit?

Thanks

Has anyone installed the carnaviplayer camera to the stock RNS-850? Is it the same install as the kufatec?

I'm installing one as I type this. Bought it from Allen Wong before Christmas. Got the camera installed in the tailgate and am in the process of running the wires from glove box area back. I was looking for additional info to pull the glove box down, that's why I'm reading this. I'll let you know how it goes. I might not finish today and may have to pick this project back up next weekend.

It's a bit different than the Kufatec unit as the carnaviplayer is supposed to be plug & play.

I will have to finish the install later. It got dark and I got called in for dinner. I have it all installed in the tailgate and the wiring run to the glove box area. that's it...The rest will have to wait. I'm in no hurry really.
