2nd Battery location- T2

So, I am doing some research on a second battery. This location next to spare is pretty sufficient.
Does anyone have a write up on a second battery hook up?

Finding a lot of info for V10's which is basically the same but I am looking for tips and so forth.

found this:

https://www.4x4australia.com.au/gear...tems-explained

Any help would be great or any 2nd battery installs already done, how did you do it, would you do it different. I am looking for the safest way to set one up, no need to burn down the truck in the middle of nowhere!

Thanks

Under the spare is the way to go. It's a fiddle to get the power from the main battery under the passenger seat. I've done it on a T2 (2007) and T4 (2016). There's a few threads here, including some pics of mine. Let me find the link.

As V10's already have two batteries, so don't know what you'll learn from V10's about installing one in a car that doesn't have one as standard.

Isn't there a built in conduit down the drivers (US) side that the V10s use to run the cables from the rear battery?

MY08 V6 TDI, Shadow Blue, Beige Interior, Towbar, Air Suspension, LED Load Box (not used).

I have Adblue tank under spare so I have to go on the side. I can learn something from V10 threads. I am looking for the best and safest way to hook one up. Although pretty simple, I am just taking note of factory hook up.

Just taking notes on configuration:

Ah! We don't have AdBlue on Australian Touaregs.
