The first from Germany?!

Hi everybody!

I live in the north west of Germany (200km from Hannover) and i am very interested in cars, especially in the Touareg.
Last year i visited the Autostadt in Wolfburg but i was really disappointed
about it. The admissions were too high and in parts it was boring.
They had only one Touareg exhibited. Every big VW dealer is more
interessting.
One problem in Germany is that the gas and car taxes are very high.
The annual car taxes depends on the cubic capacity.

For example: 1l unleaded fuel costs 1,10€ and 1l diesel costs 0,80€

I like to buy a Touareg in the future when i will be able to afford it. |VW Sharan|Mazda 2| Germany

I agree with you the taxes are huge in euro.... Also it seems to me that the Touareg of choice over seas it the 2.5 TDI diesal engine for the sake of gas prices. Check into that Touareg... great engine with lots of tourque!!!

Come to think of it, I don't think I have seen anyone on here with a Touareg from Germany.....interesting....

Touareg in Greece

Hi everybody! Congradulations to moderator for an excellent forum.
My name is Tom. I'm a Canadian-born Greek living in Athens, Greece. I traded-in my Audi A4 TQ for a black V6 Tiptronic in October, 2003. Expecting it next week. Boy am I anxious to find out if there will be any problems! I've made a long list of things to check at the dealer upon recieving the car, thanks to you all. I fell in love with the Touarg the first moment I laid eyes on it. Couldn't sleep till I ordered it. Extras include Napa leather (too soft?) CDC suspension, coming home, 18 inch wheels, others.
Answering Mystro on gas prices Here in Athens regular unleaded (95 oct) goes for .65-.78 Euro per liter while premium (98,99,100 oct) for .98-1.10 Euro) That's lower than Germany but I guess the quality in general is better in Germany.
Well that's all for now. I'll get back as soon as I have something to say. Hopefully it will be GOOD!

Hey George (and Petros)

Guess what? I have relatives in WPB as well! Talk about that later.
Got my Treg the 19th Feb. All went well at the dealership upon receiving the car. Up until this point (approx 300 km) no problems whatsoever. Of course, I am still in the process of getting acqainted with all it has to offer.
First impressions though are excellent! Can't post any pictures yet.
We'll keep in touch!
Tom

bekomme meinem v10 morgen übergeben.....freu !

was mich interessieren würde, ist die telefonausrüstung mit einem festeinbau.
was wird so empfohlen ?

Weiterhin interessiert mich ob ich den AUX zbs. für einen laptop, mp3-player, tragbaren dvd etc. nutzen kann - und wenn ja, WO wird das teil dann reingesteckt ?
gibt es irgendwo einen versteckten input ?

Greets from BONN!

I live about 35minutes away from Duesseldorf...............not really far! In Europe we are not really that far apart

After the taxation increase in Jan07 gas and diesel price of course have also increased.

Diesel 1liter = about 1.10 EUR = 1.45 USD
Premium 1liter = about 1.35 EUR = 1.77 USD

Please bear in mind that the above is for 1 LITER !

Car taxes of course have also increased, taxation rule for Diesel cars 15.44 EUR per 100cc for gasoline cars 6.75 EUR per 100cc

R5 TDI (2.5liter engine) 386 EUR = 508 USD
V6 TDI (3.0liter engine) 463.20 EUR = 610 USD
V10 TDI (5.0liter engine) 772 EUR = 1016 USD

I think, taking into account the figure mentioned above, having a big car in Germany is really expensive ( VERDAMMT TEUER ).

And a greeting from Copenhagen..

Guys, take a small look just a few hundred kilometers north to Denmark and stop whining about car taxation.

I pay 1.960 Euros a year in roadtax for my V10 TDI. On top of that, please have in mind that from the start we pay 3 times as much as you for the cars, which is why a V10 is almost 250.000 Euros..

Hooray for the socialist legacy from the seventies..... NOT!!!!!!
