Brake disc size

Hi guys

I have a T1 V6 Diesel Altitude, can someone please confirm the size of my brake discs. I have checked on websites and they vary from 308mm, 330mm and 350mm for the fronts.

I'd like to buy the largest but not sure if they would fit the callipers.

Thanks

You should have 330 on that. 350 was only for the V10 TDI and I have to guess the 308 was for the R5. 330 is what you need to install on that vehicle.

No, you can't interchange disc sizes [rotor sizes] willy-nilly!

Look up the brake system codes for the front and rear on the production sticker in your manual, then use the codes to find the correct parts using Pagid's e-catalog. Brake Pads | HELLA PAGID

For example, if your front calipers are 1LE and the rears are 1KQ, then:
1LE:
Pagid T1499
for brake disk diameter [mm] 330
T1499
Brake Pad Set, disc brake
Front Axle; Thickness [mm]: 17.1; Width [mm]: 131.8; Height [mm]: 77.2;
Brake System: Brembo; Prepared for wear indicator

1KQ
Pagid T1500
for brake disk diameter [mm] 330
Brake Pad Set, disc brake
Rear Axle; Thickness [mm]: 17.1; Width [mm]: 86.9; Height [mm]: 70.1;
Brake System: Brembo; Prepared for wear indicator

You can also cross reference the above codes to other brands, such as TRW (another ECE Regulation 90 certified pad). I have been using Pagids pads (they make the VW Brembo pads) and German TUV certified Zimmermann rotors. It is hard to find TRW pads, but members have reported that they are less dusty than Pagids, similarly effective, and lower priced. I would not use weak pads without the Euro R90 certification.

Hi Guys

Ok Thx for the info, I will order the 330mm for the fronts.

Just 1 more question, is the rears the same 330mm or 314mm.

This website is showing both sizes for the rears but only show 330mm for the fronts. So i'm not sure on the rears.

EBC Brakes Direct Automotive

Ok this is confusing. on this site if you click on the pads front or rear they are coming up with different sizes?

Thanks

Hope you don't go offroad with these. Mud and grit stuck in holes will score everything to buggery.
