New to the Touareg, Please tell me all/Everything to know- Denver, CO

Hi all,

Not sure if I am actually doing anything correct here.... somewhat computer forum illiterate. I just purchased a new to be 05' black V8 with the Teak interior. Awesome, absolutely love it. Left a 99' A4 2.8 and while miss the manual and the "car" aspects have not looked back. I have been reading the manual noticing so much that this amazing vehicle can do. Also by time spent on the forum kinda figuring out many more things the manual does not assist with. It seems as though most of the gatherings happen in the spring/summer/fall in the Rocky Mountain Areas and I just can't/don't want to wait to really figure out everything there is to know about this awesome vehicle. If any one would like to get together and help me out I would love to buy you a few beers/lunch or what ever floats your boat. I live in Denver, CO and go to the mountains all the time for fishing/skiing. I am willing to travel too, so if you are anywhere around here I would appreciate the chance to learn more about this car. Thanks so much
ps the seat belt alarm is real annoying so if anybody knows how to tame that as well I would be forever grateful.

I'm sure there's a member in the denver area with A VAG com computer that can reprogram your car so the seat belt doesn't beep.

Congrats on the new treg.

Thank you both for your response. You tell me what I need to do and "where to sign". TREGinginCO where in CO are you from? The offer still stands Beer/Food, will trade for knowledge. Not familiar VAG com truly just learning the basics... another question apparently when i walk up to the two front doors they unlock. Is there anyway I can program it so that the back doors will unlock too?

Send me a PM with your phone number and we'll have a little TOUAREG class. It will be fun.

I'm in Parker.

We should organize a beer/food get together for all the front range 'Regs anyway. I'm in Denver and pretty much free evenings and weekends. Who would be up for a Sat. afternoon meet and greet?

I'd be up for an afternoon meet and greet... Weekends are best, when i'm not boarding or when the wife isn't asking me to do something or when the kids don't need something...

Every bit more I learn I just love this thing more and more. I would love to figure a meet and greet out. The hard part is obviously figuring out a time convenient for all. Maybe a Thursday night because of obligations and weekend activities? Just a suggestion.... at a brewery/bbq that always get me motivated.

Still down to have a get together if anybody is still interested. Suggestion would be Moe's BBQ on Broadway just north of Hampden Ave.

Side note> I have the ipod attachment cord and it only plays through the CD changer. Really, bugs me. Is there any way to have it play through the AUX and can I get just a regular head phone jack to use with other mp3 players or my Bberry?

Also anybody have a suggestion on snow tires I currently have Pirelli Rosso's but they suck in the snow for Obv. reasons. I was looking at Nitto Grapplers for more of an all-season but thought I would ask the forum. I have the 18'' Manhattans so...

Oh and Aircooled I would love to pay you for your time in messing with some of the DRL lights as well as the Nav accept screen and anything else I can mess with. Of course at your convenience.... All assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
