WTB Touareg TDI

Hi all, started looking at Touaregs months ago and decided to hold off at that time. Now i'm starting my search again and there don't seem to be a lot available. Looking for a clean, well maintained accident free car. Would prefer a car on the east coast but will travel for the right vehicle. I have cash in hand. Let me know what you have!
Thanks,
Dan

Good luck, now that the 'recall' has been announced and scheduled.

Colorado has more than most states, and now a fraction of what they had 1 year ago.

That is the difference between you and me, I never go back to the carpet store.

Dan,

I'm selling my '04 with 74k miles. No accidents, 2nd owner, well-maintained, oil changes every 5k with only VW dealer purchased spec oil, non-smoker, very nice interior. I have an ad on autotrader and craigslist. There is one possible repair - valve body cover - that I'm unwilling to do. I've put about $7k into the car since I've owned it and can provide you with all of the receipts. Since most people ask, the turbos have not been replaced to my knowledge, but I have never had any issues. Happy to send you pics or jump on a call to discuss.

I always laugh when people replace turbo's for no reason on these trucks, if a turbo goes believe me you will know it.

I don't think it's a matter of not being able to tell when it's going, but being able to (somewhat) control when it does. If you're heading out for a 3,000 mile road trip, you don't want to start hearing bearings 500 miles in.

I'm on my 4th V10 that i currently own or sold, never replaced a turbo so far. I've had one with 200k mi + and pulled engine for other things, did not touch turbos. Most common garage mistake is they see oil on the turbo and think its leaking.
Turbos dont leak from inside out, but outside in and burn oil or accumulate it in the intercooler
