2012 vr6 executive

I bought this truck as a cpo down in Texas with 49k miles on it and shipped it up here to New York, it currently has 78000 miles. But will go up as I drive it. Being an automotive engineer I am an extremely particular with my vehicles, also the dealers worst nightmare, With that being said in the short amount of time I owned this truck it has had a host of new parts:

New shocks and mounts all around
New mass air flow sensor
Valves cleaned
New plugs and coils
New pads and rotors at 63k
New pcv valve in the valve cover
New thermostat and coolant temp sensor
New Michelin's at 67k also re powder coated the wheels
Front rear and center differential fluids changed 70k
New powerflex front control arm bushings
The front windows are tinted the Porsche "green" to match the back.

Vin number: Wvgef9bpxcd010899

It's an executive package so it's fully loaded with the tow package. The truck is extremely clean with the exception of two dings which will be taken care of prior to sale. As you all know the North American T3s comes with a 10 year 100k mile Powertrain warranty which is still active Asking 19000

She's a BEAUT!! I wish I knew someone in the market. Just out of curiosity, regarding the parts that were replaced since I'm a bit OCD with my 2011 3.6L, were these swapped out due to issues/failures or was work done as preventative maintenance? I haven't dealt with a lot of the items you mentioned and I have 93K on the clock so just wondering if there is anything I should consider that I haven't already checked/replaced.

Thank you for the kinds words! Even tho the t3 Touareg has far less problems then The previous generation, they have own their own little gremlins. Thank god I was never blessed to have the steering wheel shake! All the fluids Plugs coils and PCV were All changed as preventative maintenance as well as intake valve cleaning and brakes. The rear struts were changed because I heard a noise in the rear of the truck over bumps, I opted to pay to have the front struts changed as well because having two new struts and two with 48k didn’t sit well with me. The parts that failed on me were the thermostat (it got stuck open) ect sensor, and the front control arm bushings. Mass airflow sensor also failed, It caused bucking and misfiring under load. If you have 93k I can almost guarantee that the pcv diaphragm has small tears and the control arm bushings started to leak the fluid in them. Most people aren’t as sensitive to these things as me but I like me vehicles to run at optimum performance.

Thanks for the response. Gotta love the forum communities. I have changed all plugs and fluids (including tranny fluid) and also had valves cleaned. Was planning on changing all coils during next service. Thermostat I agree with is an easy preventative maintenance so I will probably swap for a new one also. As far as the PCV vavle, I couldn't find the part was wondering if you have a part# I can refer to? I also saw the OEM mass air flow sensor listed for $220 does that sound correct? Lastly, what is the "ect sensor"? Thanks again for your insight. I also like to have my cars running at optimum performance.

Another thing I forgot to ask, did you ever swap out battery? I am asking because I am assuming I am running on original battery and wondering when I should swap for new. Thanks

I forgot to mention the battery, yes I swapped it out over the winter. The mass airflow was around $220. As far as the pcv I used this system

https://www.rkxtech.com/products/36-...nt=30457329938

I would only recommend doing it if you know your way around an engine/.

Thanks again for response. Yes, I would never attempt to do any of this work. I have a friend that owns an independent VW shop. I saw the link you sent me, did you go with the #3 or the #4 kit? What is the difference? Also what exactly is the ECT sensor that you mentions? Sorry to hijack your post man! lol

Thank You

Thank your for posting. Sorry I'm not in the market - but just appreciating you taking the time to detail the parts replacements.
