2004 V8, 94,000 miles, $5,000 obo

2004 T1 V8, 94,000 miles - still in use a few times a week so probably nearer 95k by the time I sell it. Off Road Grey / Graphite. I think it’s worth $5k - would love to see it go to someone on here who’ll appreciate it. Located in Washington DC or in Falls Church, VA depending on the day of the week.

I have loved this car and am sorry to see this go but circumstances change and I won’t need it after 1 August. Very happy to let it go before then if a suitable buyer comes along. I bought it a year ago to haul my son’s hockey gear around in. Bought this specific Touareg because it only had one owner, full and documented VW main dealer service history, and had spent most of its life in California. It’s taken us on some great road trips - I’d jump in it and drive across the country tomorrow without hesitation.

Has all the usual 2004 options minus rear locker and 4-zone climate. Complete set of Nav CDs, for anyone who’s still using it. Button wear is minimal, bodywork is fantastic minus one touched-in scratch on the driver’s fender that you only notice once you know it’s there. Interior is pretty great too.

Work done during my ownership:

∑ Driveshaft (I’ll throw in the original plus a “blue viagra” repair kit that I never used)
∑ Fuel pump
∑ Hood gas struts
∑ Parking brake pedal gas strut
∑ PCV valve
∑ Stepper motor
∑ Thermostat
∑ Water pump
∑ Serpentine belt
∑ Various small trim parts
∑ Battery
∑ Engine oil, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, differential fluids changed
∑ Tow hitch installed by me - no wiring but I have the kit which I’ll throw in with the car
∑ $2,000 timing belt service by previous owner at 78,000 miles
∑ Everything works except the TPMS – needs new sensors, I was leaving it until it was tire time. Current Michelins have a bit of life left in them yet

Couple o’ pics below. More here, some taken yesterday and some from when I bought it.

That sounds like a very fair price for a well cared for low mileage 2004 V8 with air. I picked up a nearly identical one with similar mileage for $2k but by the time I got through having the valve body, timing belt, intake manifold, and new tires and wheel dealt with I'm in it about $7K.

Hey! Are you looking to still buy a touareg? I got one (1) for sale. I'm looking to sell mine to add up money for the V10.

I just bought a 2005 White/Grey with 130K original owner yesterday. It's loaded minus Rear CC. Local from here in SoCal. Good luck!
