I have to say my first steps into the world on Touaregs has been a little rocky! I bought this for my wifes DD but not long after getting it, the engine showed signs of failure. If you haven't seen my other posts about this, I'm almost certain the plasma lining in the #10 cylinder has failed causing misfire and a ton of blow-by. (I'm still looking for an inspection scope that will fit down the glow plug orifice to confirm.)
That's the worst of the vehicle by far. Otherwise, it's in good shape with 187,000 miles on it. Light blue outside and black interior. Rear diff lock, air susp., sunroof. Back glass release does not release, a few deep scratches on the rear passenger door, surface of some front buttons wearing off, ect. That's about the worst of it.
I've seen other posts looking for many of the parts I still have but I would rather sell the whole thing. As it sits right now, there are no missing parts - spare tire, tool kit, owners manual.... all there. I have most of the engine cover and belly pan out from diagnostic work but it's there too. I'm not attempting to fix it as I don't have access to a good engine block and don't have time or space to drop the engine. That's also why I prefer selling it as is.
Vehicle is located in the Reno, NV, USA area. I was told all service work was done by Niello VW in Sacramento but I have strong suspicions the engine failure was due to the wrong oil. ... water under the bridge now.
I'll up load pictures later (I know, I know. I read the sticky!) I do have a link here
that should take you to the pics for now. Please let me know if you want any more information. I WILL respond.
I'd like to get what I can out of this, and get it out of my garage, so I can find another Touareg for the wife.
