Popping Speakers

I've had my Toureg for about 4 days now and all of a sudden I am getting a loud popping noise from the speakers after I've turned the ignition off. It pops about every 10-20 seconds for who knows how long. I've sat there for at least 5 minutes and listened to it. Any ideas as to what is going on??? I keep thinking I've done something to cause this, but it's got me baffled. I'd appreciate any thoughts...

Sounds like you may have a bad amplifier.

I wonder if you are going to be a new member of the "dead battery club"?

If the popping continues for a long time, I would guess that an amp or headunit (as was suggested earlier) is still powered and will eventually drain the battery if left alone long enough. Unless the advanced electronics on the Treg see it and are successfull in stopping the drain.

That happened to me and then eventually the front side channels died entirely. Bad amp. Of course, I have the 8ch amp which is $550 or more, and not the 12ch amp that can be found for $25 or less all over the internet.
