Minimum rim size to clear 2008 R50 calipers

Hi guys, I've read a few old posts on here about changing wheels on an R50 V10, but i haven't seen and definate answers.
I'd like to take the 21's off to do a small off road trip, and wondering if 18 inch rims will clear the large R50 calipers.
Thanks in advance.

Garage
18’s will clear.
Edit:
Don’t know about the r50.... just a guess is if the spare tire is a 18 than 18’s should work?

18 is the lowest I believe -same as the v10.

V8 TDI R line MY15, White, Panoramic roof, VW towbar. Dynamic Road Sign Recognition, Lane Assist, Traffic Reports, Google Earth enabled. All Led.

V10 TDI, MYO6 on Conti CrossContact 255/60/18s with RNS510, Paddle Shifters, Rear Diff lock, Mounted Spare, Bluetooth, 4 Zone CC, Keyless, AFS Xenons, TPMS, Easy Entry/Exit, Twin Batteries, Air Suspension, Sunroof, Icom IC440 UHF radio...

AFAIK it's 18" for R50 and V10 with 17" for everything else - unless anyone knows different?

V8 Tdi and W12 are 18 inches minimum too I think.

For anyone reading thus thread somewhere in the world where the R5 was also available note that the R5 wheels are 5x120 PCD and all other Touaregs since model launch are 5x130 PCD.

VW Touareg models are as follows:
Generation 1: T1 is model 7LA & facelift T2 is model 7L6
Generation 2: T3 is model 7P5 & facelift T4 is model 7P6
Generation 3: T5 is model CR7 [Not available in "VW Atlas" North America!]

I would think that the R50 would not accept 18" front rims as the Calipers are to big i would think 19" would be smallest you could have.
That is why the R50 didnt come with an 18" spacesaver spare like the std V10 did it wouldn't fit.
The R50 only came with tyre sealant.
