check brake pads - which one?

my08 t2 3.0v6 has a check brake pad light

it appeared after hitting a unmarked speed bump faster than i'd like
the pads all look fine, so i think its a sensor
However, i've not idea which sensor, a full scan on vcds does not show any errors on abs brakes

is there a way we can find out with vcds which sensor it is?
Or can anyone tell me what to check on a visual inspection?

The brake sensors are fairly low-tech and robust with nothing much to go wrong. If there is a problem it is most likely to be in the short wire that connect each brake pad to the wiring loom.

First clear the error code and see if the problem recurs. If so, you may need to replace the faulty wire. Rather than messing around trying to find the culprit, it may be easier to replace all the wires.

Thanks
I cleared all the DTC error codes using vcds, and the brake warning is still there

I assume I have to individually check each wire to figure out where the issue is? is it something that can be done without removing each wheel?
