V8 treg valve cover gasket replacement

Hey there, has anyone replaced the valve cover gaskets on a v8 treg ? which brand used and best price as well...there are many different brands and would like to buy a decent quality brand. Thanks in advance!

Also is it required and also should a gasket sealant be used when replacing the gaskets?

You'll need to use a high temperature sealant when replacing the gasket.

I replaced mine on my 08 V8 fsi.....very straightforward process. I did not use any sealant (earlier v8's may be different) ...I used OE VW/Audi gasket set from my local dealership. Given the rather low price (if I recall correctly, under $40 for the set) it was a bit of a no brainer to stick with OE.

be sure to adhere to proper torque specs as well as the proper torque sequence.....you'll be fine.

i changed mine on my 05 V8 and no sealant is needed if you are using new parts, also used OEM parts. no issues at all

Awsome does anyone happen to know the torque spec sequence that's recommended?
